Overview

When your ShinePages subscription expires - whether due to cancellation, non-payment or end of trial - your account enters an expiration period. Here's exactly what happens and what your options are.


What happens immediately when your subscription expires:
  • Your ShinePages site goes offline and is no longer visible to the public

  • You retain access to the builder and account features for a 30-day period

  • Your content remains safely stored on our servers



The 30-day Retention Period
Your content is retained and accessible for 30 days after expiration - after which you will lose access to your account. Accounts that remain inactive will eventually be deleted after 12 months. 


Your 30-day post-expiration "Retention Period" includes behind-the scenes access to:


  • All pages and website content
  • Funnels and landing pages
  • Contacts and CRM data
  • Account settings and integrations
  • Email automations and sequences

During this 30-day window you have two options:

-Option 1 - Reactivate your account
Purchase any active ShinePages plan and everything will be restored exactly as you left it. Your site will go back online immediately.

-Option 2 - Pause & Protect your account
Not ready to fully reactivate? Our Pause & Protect option keeps all of your content safely stored for as long as you need - with no risk of deletion.  When you're ready to come back - just upgrade to an active plan and pick right back up where you left off.

After 30 days
If neither option is chosen within the 30-day Retention Period you will lose all access to your account. This includes all pages, funnels, contacts, settings and content. All emails addresses set as Admins will be removed from your account. 

We strongly recommend acting before the 30-day window closes if there's any chance you might want to return to ShinePages in the future.


 


Payment failures
If your subscription expires due to a failed payment - ShinePages automatically retries the charge up to 3 times over 72 hours before expiring the account. You'll receive an email notification on the first failed attempt with instructions to update your payment information. Updating your payment details before the third attempt will prevent your account from expiring.
