Can't see the SAVE button / Can't Save / Error Saving / Saved but edits gone
What to do if you can't see the SAVE button / Can't SAVE or get an error message upon trying to SAVE or I saved my changes and they're gone!

As you build and design your website and funnel pages you should make it a practice to SAVE your work regularly. You do this by clicking the green "SAVE CHANGES" button that will appear in the upper right corner of your screen after you have made any edits to your page.

If you click out of the page that you have been editing and haven't SAVED - a popup warning will appear giving you the option to Stay and Save or Discard
ISSUE 1. CAN'T SEE THE SAVE BUTTON?
Anytime you make changes within the Builder, you should see the green SAVE button appear in the upper right corner of your screen. If you do NOT see that button, it could be due to a few reasons:
This can also happen WHEN:
1) You are working on a tablet or mobile device VS. a laptop or desktop computer. WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND BUILDING AND EDITING PAGES ON A LAPTOP OR DESKTOP DEVICE.
2) We recommend you only use CHROME as your browser when building your site on ShinePages. Chrome is the most robust of all the browsers when using platforms like ours.
3) Your screen resolution may be set too small or too large which is pushing the save button "off the screen".
Here are some SOLUTIONS:
1) To fix your Screen Resolution (as mentioned above) - From your browser menu - find the "View" option where you should find the option to "Zoom In" or "Zoom Out". (control or command button plus the + or - keys should also work).
Try zooming out or zooming in to change the viewable area of your screen and see if this puts the Save button into view.
You may also try changing the view settings to "standard" instead of zoomed.
2) Try keyboard shortcuts to Save instead of using the Save button:
-CTRL + S on Windows or
-Command + S on Mac.
3) If none of these methods work to be able to View your Save button - follow instructions below as if you ARE NOT ABLE TO SAVE:
ISSUES 2. CAN'T SAVE OR GET AN ERROR MESSAGE UPON SAVING? or "I SAVED all the changes I made to my website and now those changes are gone!"
This can also happen WHEN:
1) First - If you are editing your site with your builder open in 2 (two) tabs in your browser (our users sometimes do this when they need to have 2 different pages of their site open to either reference or copy text across). This is NOT recommended as the changes you might make in one of your tab pages could overwrite any changes you made in the tab page and you stand a chance of losing all of your edits.
2) When you have MULTIPLE people that may Login and work on the websites and funnels on your project at the SAME TIME. Please see this article: Tips & Best Practices when you have multiple admins/contributors that have access to edit in the builder of your account.
Here are some SOLUTIONS:
1) We recommend taking a screenshot of your updated page as it currently stands to have as a backup. You can "Preview" your pages, then use your computer's screenshot shortcuts or a browser extension such as Blipshot or One Page Screenshot to take a visual picture of your most recent updates.
2) Next - Copy and Save any Blocks you have edited/updated since you last saved your work - to the "Saved Blocks & Elements" folder. This should "save" a copy of that block to your saved items area - allowing you to "paste" it back onto the page once you are able to click/view your SAVE button.

Note: we recommend not only Copying the blocks - but then also Saving those copied blocks to your account.
3) Once you have taken a screenshot and copied and saved your updated Blocks - please try Saving again. If that does not work - REFRESH your browser screen. You can also try closing your internet browser. Restart your internet browser, clear your cache and log back into your ShinePages account at https://shinepages.com/login
IMPORTANT NOTE WHEN BUILDING YOUR EMAILS!
As with building your website - it is IMPORTANT to continuously SAVE periodically throughout the editing process.
The only difference is - that there are many steps involved in creating an email campaign so please follow the steps recommended below ⬇️
Email Campaigns:
The best option (if you have been spending a long time on your email creation) and you are not ready to go to "NEXT" (to avoid your browser from timing out and losing everything) is to "SAVE and EXIT" on a REGULAR BASIS. You would simply need to open it up again to edit and move forward. When you open the campaign up again to edit - you can go straight to the page by clicking on "Design" in the top menu.
Should you happen to be spending a long time on your email creation (to avoid your browser from timing out and losing everything) it is IMPORTANT to "SAVE" on a REGULAR BASIS.
