ShinePages offers convenient, robust and fairly priced Email Marketing Functionality for sending out Email Campaigns/Newsletters and for setting up Automated Email Sequences as an alternative to using third-party Email Marketing services such as MailChimp or MailerLite.

(NOTE: ShinePages.com does not provide nor sell actual business email addresses (ie: yourname@yourdomainname.com) nor email inboxes (ie: the place where you actually access, send and receive one-to-one emails).

If you'd like to purchase a business email address, you can do so from your Domain Registrar - ie: Namecheap, GoDaddy, Domain.com, Google Domains/Workspace etc.

HOW TO USE SHINEPAGES FOR EMAIL MARKETING:

To use this ShinePages "Emails & Automations" functionality you will need to use a matching business email address - or a "domain hosted email".

A business email address looks something like: yourname@yourdomain.com (NOT a free @gmail.com account). You will need to purchase a business email address/email hosting separately. Typically you can purchase this email account from the same place where you purchased your domain name - Namecheap, GoDaddy, Google Workspace, etc.

To get started with email marketing via ShinePages "Emails & Automations" you will need to:

1)VERIFY your domain for Email Marketing in ShinePages.

NOTE: This is different than Connecting your Domain for your WEBSITE. Please see the Related Article at the bottom of this page for reference.

2) Set your BRAND DETAILS

1) HOW TO VERIFY / CONNECT YOUR DOMAIN TO START SENDING EMAILS THRU THE SHINEPAGES "EMAILS & AUTOMATIONS" ADD-ON SERVICE:

1.1) Go to Emails & Automation -> Settings

1.2) Click the button to +ADD DOMAIN

1.3) Enter in your domain (without the www in the front) (Note: this should be the same domain that you connected to your website to avoid deliverability issues)

1.4) A window will appear with the Verification Records you will need to add to your domain's DNS records (Note: you will access these records wherever you purchased your domain name. Log into your domain registrar - ie: GoDaddy/Namecheap/Google Domains, etc. - and click on "Manage DNS" or similar button/link to get to your domain's DNS Records screen).

As noted in the window - you will need to:

1) add a TXT record

2) add a CNAME record.

To do so, simply copy and paste the information in the "name" and "value" fields to each record. (see below for an illustration)

NOTE: These (TXT and CNAME) records will be added IN ADDITION to the A and CNAME records required to connect your website's domain and make your site go live) (See this article for instructions on how to Connect your Website Domain

It might take some time for the DNS records to update after adding them so don't worry, check again in 10-15 minutes and in most cases it should be showing as 'Verified' in green.

2) SET YOUR BRAND DETAILS (once you've verified your email)

Toggle from "Domains" to "Brand Details" at the top of the screen to set your:

- Company Name

- Company Address for CAN/SPAM laws (please see below for more info on this)

- Default Sender Name

- Default Email address - for campaigns and automations

- Default System Email address - for system emails

PLEASE NOTE: The Company Name and the Company Address fields you set here will auto populate in the footer of your emails.

CAN/SPAM ACT RULES:

Your message must include your VALID physical postal address. This can be your current street address, a post office box you've registered with the U.S. Postal Service / Your Country's Postal Service, or a private mailbox you've registered with a commercial mail receiving agency established under Postal Service regulations.

Watch the Video Tutorial below to see the steps to set up your domain for email verification:

NOTE: To communicate on-on-one with your clients - or if someone "replies" to a message sent via "Campaigns" or "Automations" - you will receive that email in your own email in-box on your computer / device. Information to set this up will be  provided to you when you purchased and set up your business email (from ShinePages Domains, Google, GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.)
