Adding a Subscriber To a List

When you open the Subscriber's profile (by clicking the person's name from the list of subscribers) you can see whether or not they are a "Subscriber" (ie: a Contact that is assigned to one or more Email Lists and thus eligible to receive emails) by checking the small Checkmark within their "Contact Circle".
-✓ If the checkmark is White/Blank they are NOT current "Subscribers".
-✅ If the checkmark is Green they ARE a current Subscriber.
You can Subscribe them to a List in two ways:
1) Click the "Subscribe" Checkmark in the Contact's "circle" - to "Subscribe" them and select which lists you'd like them to be assigned.
2) Click the "Add List" button under the Marketing tab - then select which lists you'd like the Subscriber to be assigned to.
To add a GROUP of people with a specific TAG to an Email List:
1) Go to the CONTACTS tab
2) Click "Add Filter" at the top and search by "Tag" - select the tag you want.
3) Once you have the list of all contacts with that tag showing on the screen, "select all" by checking the open circle at the top of the list.
4) From the "More" button at the top, drop down to "Add Contacts To List"
5) Select the List you would like to add these tagged contacts to.

To add a GROUP of people within a specific MEMBER GROUP to an Email List:
1) Go to the CONTACTS tab - then click on the MEMBER GROUP you'd like
2) "Select all" by checking the open circle at the top of the Member list.
3) From the "More" button at the top, drop down to "Add Contacts To List"
4) Select the email List you would like to add these Members to.
Note: if you haven't already - you may also want to "Tag Contacts" - and add a specific Tag to the Contact Records of everyone within the Member Group. This adds another layer of segmentation opportunity and will allow you to use Tags as the Trigger in future Automations. Do this by "selecting all" and click the "Tag Contacts" button at the top of the screen. Select Tag/Tags you wish.
Note: if you want to use a list or a tag to trigger automation - you will need to add the tag or add them to the list AFTER you have turned on the Automation flow.
Please NOTE: In order to initially "Subscribe" someone (make them eligible to receive emails from you) - you must select an Email List. However, if that person 'unsubscribes' themselves by clicking the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of your emails (or if you manually unsubscribe them by de-selecting the green checkmark in their Contact Record) the Email List/s will still show in their Contact Record's "Marketing" tab. They will NOT get emails if not Subscribed, but they will still show as being "on that list".
