TAKE THE "Funnel Quiz" To Nest or Not" HERE

Please watch the videos and read the text below the videos as well to understand this powerful feature!

*NOTE: While the decision to use "standalone" vs. "nested" funnels is entirely up to YOU and your business needs - it may be helpful to know that MOST ShinePages users opt to "nest" their Funnels beneath a "Website" because they want ONE place for everything to live - all of their contacts, products, appointments, members, automations, tags, files, global styling, etc. Plus - they want the option to use their ONE DOMAIN NAME for their Funnels as well - ie: mybusinessname.com/funnel-name.

Pro Tip: Even if you will NOT be using ShinePages to build a "traditional website" (ie: you have a website on a different platform or are strictly focused on landing pages or funnels and not a "website") in most cases we still recommend setting up a "Website" on ShinePages to act as the "hub" or "container" for any and all Funnels to be "nested" beneath.

CREATE THE WEBSITE FIRST - then "nest" your Funnel(s) beneath.

This allows current (and future!) Funnels to share ONE Domain and to have ONE place to house your contacts, styling, products, members, files, branding, automations, etc.  You won't need to set up any Website pages - you'll instead set your Funnel as your "Home" page. :)

Note: If you have ONE domain name and you'd like all of your funnels to share that ONE domain name - you will want to "nest" your funnels under a website on your project - even if you are not actively using that website.

ONE DOMAIN examples:

yourdomainname.com

yourdomainname.com/funnel1

yourdomainname.com/funnel2

If you wish to connect SEPARATE domains that you have purchased to each funnel - you can do so on the GLOW plan or above whether they are nested funnels OR whether they are standalone funnels.

SEPARATE DOMAIN examples:

yourdomainname.com

your2nddomainname.com

your3rddomainname.com

A subdomain - such as course.yourdomain.com - is considered a "separate domain" and would be set up at your domain registrar of choice.

Also note that Abandoned Carts are tracked per STORE.

A website with nested funnels (regardless of the number of checkout widgets you may be using) is considered one "STORE".

Standalone funnels each have their own separate STORES.

IMPORTANT NOTE

It is important to note that it is easiest to MOVE A FUNNEL INTO A WEBSITE BEFORE YOU HAVE STARTED TO EDIT IT, SET IT UP OR USE IT.

If you MOVE a funnel that had been set-up already (products added, tags set, automations created, contacts added, etc.) to a Website in that project - you will LOSE that information as the Funnel database will be abandoned and will now be a part of the Website's database.

You would need to recreate any store items, import contact lists, create new tags and then add them to any forms or checkout settings, re-create campaigns & automations, re-upload files to the File manager, etc.
