Uploading Photos and Files to your File Manager
And sorting them into Folders
The File Manager is the place where you can upload and manage all your photos and files.
You can upload the following types of files to the File Manager:
Image Files, Font Files, PDF Files, Audio Files and GIFS.
Please note that Video files should not be hosted in the File Manager - instead, Video files should be hosted in a third party Video Hosting platform such as Vimeo, YouTube, Muse.ai or or similar.
To access the File Manager, you can perform the following steps:
1. Via image widget by clicking the on the camera container.
2. OR by clicking on the "Website Settings" icon (gear/cog wheel) > "File Manager", and then selecting either "All Files" or "All Images". (see image below)
So, what's the difference?
* All Images - if you want to upload images only. It will resize your images (if they are really large) and compress them. This performs in much the same way as uploading them via the Image Widget.
* All Files - suitable when you want to upload any type of file or image that you want to keep the original size and quality.
Once the File Manager window opens, you will see a “set" folder called “Images” where all of your uploaded images will go. We recommend you create folders before you upload your images so as better to sort through them. You would need to do this before uploading your images (once your images are uploaded you won’t be able to re-allocate them to different folders).
To add a folder - Click on the + Add Folder button - Enter the new folder name and submit.
When uploading your photos / files:
1) Select which folder you would like to upload a photo to and click on it - either “Images” which is the general/overall folder or a “Folder” that you’ve have created.
2) Click "Upload a File" button to upload your images by navigating to wherever they may be saved on your computer.
