It's a brand new year, and there are so many coaches out there who are teaching people how to create the content for their courses, or you're just thinking, "How can I take the things I know and package them up in an easy digestible bite-size way for people who can learn from me?".
An online course is a fantastic way to do that.
You think about the actual content of your course that's probably where you're spending a lot of your time, but you also have to keep in mind how you're going to actually deliver that course; what platform you're going to use to deliver your course, and there's a lot fo great platforms out there.
Today, we're going to talk about ShinePages, and we'll be going over the three things that you need in order to launch your course and get it out there to the world and shine your light.
If you think about that course, it breaks down to the basics:
1. a way to actually tell people about what you have to offer; a way to promote that course
2. a way to actually sell it and collect payment (an actual transaction)
3. a way to deliver your content
In ShinePages, you can do all three!
It has both a website and a sales funnel leading to a course.
A website is a kind of tradition where you have your header bar across the top and there are lots of different places for people to go to get information about you to get that trust factor.
On the other hand, a sales funnel is really designed to lead people to just one place if you want to keep people focused and directed on one action that you want them to take. A sales funnel also leads people step-by-step and page-by-page through a process so that they can learn then check out then buy then go through the process of a course.
To get started, simply click here:
Then choose Coach/Courses
These are the steps of a funnel, and they are the ones that are going to complete those three things we talked about for an online course.
You're going to be able to have a sales page or a landing page that will tell people about your online course and promote it
Then you can send people right a checkout page where they can actually pay for your course, where you can have your transaction set up as well as your payment gateway
Then it goes to a thank you page
Then right into your course pages
If you have bonuses, you are also free to set them up here
When you go back to your builder and click on the Course menu
You'll see an example of a sales page
It has a basic layout that will help you promote your course.
You can talk about the topics that you're going to cover in your course
Also, you can add in some details on the different modules within your course
You can also have some testimonials sprinkled in
And more stats and figures to showcase all of the things that you do know
Basically, the whole idea of your sales page is to be able to promote your offer, tell people what your course is about, and then move them to the next step which is your checkout page.
Your checkout page is also fully customizable just like the sales page.
On the right side is your actual checkout
With ShinePages, you have the option of having a checkout widget when you go for a Shine Plan and above.
A checkout widget will allow you to put it in any piece or part of your funnel and sell things outside of a traditional store where you have all of your items listed.
It is all where you'll actually be choosing the products that you have created in your Store.
Click on Select Products to start adding the products that you want to display
There are also a few things that you can do with your checkout within the ShinePages platform that is kind of exciting.
You can add a bump offer by clicking here:
Add Bump
Then start setting it up
To send the customer to your next funnel step, click on Settings and set it up as well
There are two kinds of checkout that you can choose from.
Having a one-step checkout means it's all on one page (the customer information, billing information, payment mode, bump offer, and the completion of the order).
While a two-step checkout will have the billing information on the second screen of the checkout.
To create your products, go to the Store tab.
This is where you would set up those products to sell.
There are demo products that are already set up within this template, but you can always add new products by clicking here:
You will then be able to choose what kind of product you will display.
To set up a course, choose Membership.
Start setting up your course name, image, description, page URL, and SEO description.
Under the Member Groups, you can decide which group is going to be added to when they become a part of the membership.
After that, you can start setting your price.
You can also put it on sale if you'd like.
If you want a subscription, you can set it up by clicking here:
Then set up your categories by clicking here:
After hitting Save, you can now go to the Contacts tab to set up different member groups.
To do that, click on Add Group
Enter the Group Name
After hitting Submit, go back to the Funnel by clicking on the Builder tab,
Click on Funnels
Click on your course
Choose Checkout
Click the Products button
Click on Select Products
Check on the course/s that you've created, then hit Confirm.
Now you're going to have two products for them to choose from.
Check "Allow customers to choose the product to buy"
Then hit Save Changes
If you go back to the Store tab
Go to Settings
Click on Payments
Then start adding the payment providers that your customers can use to purchase your course.
Set up your general information in the General menu,
And add the shipping options in the Shipping menu
You can also add additional upsells or downsells right here within the funnel itself.
You can do this by creating a new page or a pop-up that would be an upsell or a down-sell.
To get into your course content pages, go to a Module.
This is where you are going to deliver your course content
This can look any way you'd like it to.
If there's a private Facebook group that people have for their course members, you can also link that using this button:
You can also set up a menu of different modules or courses.
Then right here is where you deliver your content through a video or other additional images, or training on what is that you do:
If you have any specific downloads or worksheets that need to go along with that module, you have a button that you can link to a document.
To add more modules, simply duplicate the page here:
To set up the page access for every module, click here:

If you decide to set it up as a Password-Protected module, a text box for the password will show up below.
On the other hand, if you choose Members Only, you will then have to select the type of member that you want to access the module.
Now, when a customer checks out the product that you created, that product gives them access to become a member of a certain level (Silver or Gold, for example) that can access the module that you've set up.
All three things that you need to launch an online course - a way to promote, sell, and deliver - can be done within ShinePages.
