Last Update 4 months ago

Start by creating an account with Google Analytics, setting up your Google Analytics 4 (GA 4) "property" (ie: your website) and creating a "Data Stream".

Instructions from Google on how to do this are LINKED HERE

From the Left hand menu within your Analytics account - click on the gear icon with the blue background and then click on "Admin" button when it pops up. Unless you are already in the "Admin" page.

Under Property Settings - click on Data collection and modification and then on Data Streams

In "Data Streams" - then click on the dropdown arrow to get into the "Web Stream Details" page:

From the "Web Stream Details" window - Scroll down to select "View Tag Instructions"

Select "Install Manually".

Click the "copy" icon to Copy this snippet of Code from Google Analytics:

Next, navigate to your ShinePages site - click on the gear icon "Website Settings" on the left and then select "Custom Code"

From that page under "Global Custom Code" select "Custom Head Markup".

In the black box area that appears - you will PASTE (ctrl v) the code snippet you just "copied" from GA and click the SAVE button.

It can take a few hours for your code to start sending data to Google Analytics.
