After Connecting WebConnect to Zapier thru our Zapier Invite

While ShinePages does not have direct integration with ConvertKit yet, you CAN easily connect this email marketing system with ShinePages via Zapier.

STEP 1: YOU NEED TO ACCESS ZAPIER THROUGH OUR ZAPIER INVITE LINK TO CONNECT TO WEBCONNECT FIRST: See STEP 1 article here:

Access the Zapier Invite

AFTER STEP 1 AS ABOVE:

STEP 2: Once your WebConnect is connected and you have selected ConvertKit as your event in 2.

Step 3: Next, Zapier will ask you to choose a trigger event from a drop-down list.

Here is where you can choose the trigger event that will initiate information being sent to ConvertKit. This can be "Contact Updated", "New Order", etc. Choose what makes the most sense for you.

Note: you can create multiple "zaps" for different triggers following these same steps.

Step 4: Choose Account - just pull down to the account you just connected and select it. You may be asked to "Test Trigger" - just click this button to test the connection.

NOTE: If you have MORE THAN ONE FORM on your site and you'd like to set up different zaps for each form - you will add a middle "Filter" step in between Step 1(Trigger) and Step 2 (Action) so that you can CHOOSE WHICH FORM to connect with each Zap.

See information towards the bottom of this page on how to set this up.

Step 5: Choose Action Event - pull down from the list to "Add Subscriber to Sequence" (or choose one of the other ConvertKit options in the drop-down").

Step 6: Log into ConvertKit to make the final connection. You'll need to login to your ConvertKit Account Page to grab your ConvertKit API Key (similar to what you did when you copied your ShinePages API key)

Note: here is documentation direct from Zapier on connecting with ConvertKit:

Step 7: Set up your Actions.

Start by selecting your ConvertKit Segment or Audience from the dropdown list. Next go to the Email field and select "Contact Email: sample@email.com" from the dropdown list. Do the same for First Name, choosing "Contact Name: Sample Name" from the list.

Note: Many forms in ShinePages - including the checkout widget - will be bringing over "Full Name" vs. 2 separate fields for "First Name" and "Last Name". In this case, you can leave the data field for "last name" blank - as the full name will be pulled with that First Name field.

Step 8: When everything is connected, you can choose to turn on or run your "Zap" - this will automatically pass information between the two platforms and add new contacts from ShinePages into your ConvertKit account.
